Welcome I grew up in a small rural town in Maine where my grandmother encouraged my interest in painting.  As a ten-year-old, I set up my “art studio” in the dusty hot attic of her three-story Victorian home and spent many afternoons painting away . . . ·      I received my B.S. in art education from Plymouth State College in New Hampshire . . . ·      While residing in Germany, I studied the Old Masters’ method of oil painting . . . ·      Temporarily living in Nebraska and my oils in storage, I took up watercolor inspired by family photographs of the Nebraska landscape . . . ·     At present I am living in Florida and am exploring mixed media techniques with a primitive modern focus.  There is usually a story or experience that can be “read” from the abstract.  The title of each painting comes last, after the painting takes me on its journey.
